The Coalition of Immokalee Workers has been working with farmworkers to advance justice and dignity in the agricultural industry for 30 years. Representatives from CIW will give a background of CIW and historical conditions faced by farmworkers and modern-day slavery in agriculture. They will update us on the campaign for fair food and Wendy’s boycott. In addition we will learn the role of communities of faith in the campaign and what we can do to support farmworkers today.
