Work permit





Sora received her letter of completion for the work permit.  The card is expected in less than one month.  She needs a social security number as well and sometimes the two arrive together.  Sora may be required to get a physical in order to complete the process.





Work interest





Sora wants to become a nurse.  There is a nursing aid certification that costs $500 and would allow her to start caring for folks.  It would be helpful if the work is close to her home.  Ted suggested that Sora take the letter to any potential employers.  The committee voted to approve the training dollars.  Sora will provide the training details and she will get registered and will plan transportation once it is in place.





TPS





The Temporary Protected Status application is complete.  Sora must provide additional papers to complete the package.  Betty’s goal is to get this done by the end of the week.





Transportation





The new process is better than the old morning process.
